Piedmont Senior Resources (PSR) knows that for older adults on a limited budget, dogs and cats are more than pets — they’re also best friends. To help maintain that friendship, PSR is planning a Pet Food Drive from February 1 through March 1 to collect pet food and donations for its Pet Love Program. PSR will distribute the pet food to low-income, homebound older adults who receive PSR Home Delivered Meals services. Donations of both dry and wet cat/dog food (13 to 18-pound bags preferable) and clumping cat litter will be accepted. Pet food (Purina brand preferred) must be new, unopened, and within the expiration date. Donations can be dropped off at the PSR office at 1413 South Main Street in Farmville. PSR will also accept food donations made through online purchases from Chewy, Amazon or Walmart, with delivery to the PSR address above.
