Enjoy the great outdoors with High Bridge Trail for a full day of programs for kids. Each program will begin at the Camp Paradise parking lot and will last roughly one hour.
10 a.m. Self-guided Bird Watch - Several song birds that live along High Bridge Trail. Grab a pair of binoculars and a checklist from the ranger to see how many birds you can spot on your walk.
12 p.m. Turtle Hurdle - You might have noticed turtles basking on logs in the Appomattox River. Join a ranger for a brief overview of the incredible biology and behavior of river turtles. Then, we'll journey out to High Bridge and see if we can identify the turtles below.
3 p.m. Once Upon A Railroad - Join a ranger for a 1.5 mile round trip hike back in time to the 1800s. You'll discover how High Bridge served as a significant piece of Farmville and Civil War history.
