Look down from High Bridge and witness the spectacle of a galaxy of starry fireflies flashing in treetops in the Appomattox River valley below. The Festival will begin with a ranger led explanation of these mysterious, luminous insects at 9 p.m. Activities, firefly viewing, and insect displays will be available at the event.
Experience has shown that fireflies become the most active just past 10 p.m. You don't want to miss this experience. Even if you are accustomed to seeing fireflies, this perspective at this location will create a memory for a lifetime. When you see it, you will understand.
Only 750 tickets are available for purchase each night, and they will sell out fast. Tickets must be bought in advance on EventBrite HERE.
