Meet your guide at the Camp Paradise parking area on the east end of High Bridge. Once below, prepare to be astounded by the scale and scope of High Bridge from the bottom up. Learn how the original bridge was constructed by a workforce totaling 1,000 men and 200 horses over a two year period and how the steel bridge was constructed in just 15 months.
Bring plenty of water and closed toe shoes are a must. Long pants are recommended. Treating your clothes and hat with bug spray also recommended. Part of the trail will be steep as we exit along Camp Paradise Trail by the Civil War fort near the main Trail. Strollers are not recommended as the terrain is uneven in places. The total distance is approximately one mile and should take about an hour.
