Truly aiming for a “home away from home” feel, Amanda Wells, Owner and Operator, and her team of dedicated staff have created an environment to truly keep your pup happy and cared for!

Growing up on a farm raising chicks, sheep, cattle, and more, Amanda’s love and care for animals runs deep. This extensive passion for animals inspired Amanda to work in the veterinary line of work. With experience working with the Appomattox Animal Hospital, Amanda went on to graduate from Longwood University with a degree in Biology. Throughout her college career and beyond, Amanda worked with the Blackstone Animal Clinic for 10 years. Running a pet-sitting business on the side, Amanda’s clientele continued to grow until she decided it was time to build a kennel of her own. With the help of friends and family, Amanda’s dream of owning her own kennel became a reality and in August of 2017, Four Paw Bed & Breakfast was open for business!

Matched up by temperament, dogs staying at the kennel are provided the experience to socialize with other pups in a safe, fun environment. Does your dog prefer to stay separate from others? No problem! The kennel also provides runs with an individual bed and water needed to have a comfortable experience. In addition to boarding, Four Paw Bed & Biscuit offers grooming and daycare services as well! With plenty of fun to be had and a comfortable bed to fall into afterwards, you can have peace of mind knowing that your pet is well taken care of while you’re away.
