If you have ever traveled up High Street, then like most, you probably turned onto another street and never continued to see everything it has to offer. However, just a short drive, past the intersection of Griffin Blvd and Oak St, is an old brick entryway to a gorgeous historic home. If you have never taken a step inside the Longwood Bed & Breakfast, then I encourage you to do so. When you enter into the home it’s like taking a step back in time. The home was built in 1880 and that character still shines within every room. Everything from antique chandeliers and furniture to the floral wallpaper help bring out the charm and history associated with the house. 
Many of Longwood’s early alumni will remember the location as the home to Longwood’s presidents until 1969. Longwood Bed & Breakfast boasts 6 bedrooms, each of them containing their own private bathroom, as well as formal dining room and other living areas. All of the bedrooms are named after someone in history with a connection to the home or the furniture located in the room. The porches, arranged with multiple seating areas, make the Longwood Bed & Breakfast feel like a home away from home.
